Expression of Interest MWCO/EO1/2026/02
FOR RESPONSIBLE RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL OF WASTE
1. The World Food Programme in Malawi seeks to establish contract(s) with a company who will be required to provide recycling/disposal services of different waste types for the Malawi country office in an environmentally responsible manner. The materials to be recycled are described in the table below:

2. The company should have all the relevant licenses, certifications, and authorizations to carry out recycling and disposal processes, from relevant agencies (including the national authority on environment e.g., NEMA', Ministry of Environment etc.)
3. The company should be legally compliant with any relevant national legislation on waste management.
4. The company should be able to demonstrate 'chain of custody' i.e., should have visibility of all recycling procedures from end to end (from the receipt of the waste to production of final recycling products and/or materials)
5. WFP invites eligible companies to express their interest in providing the above-mentioned goods/services.
6. The purpose of this request for EOI is to identify companies with verified technical and financial capacity to provide the services, while applying the highest environmental and social standards. Eligible companies will be invited to participate in the bidding process for the proposed tender.
7. Eligibility to participate in the proposed tender will be determined on the basis of:
Confirmation of interest in being considered for the provision of the above services.
EOI response form and Annexes completed and signed, as required in Clause 7 of this document: Company status and profile and its suitability for the stated purpose.
Relevant experience.
8. After the deadline for submission of responses has passed, WFP will evaluate responses received and will notify eligible participants of the outcome of the evaluation.

ii. Copies of business registration certificates, tax compliance certificates and any other licenses necessary for the operation of the company.
10. All supporting documentation listed above shall be prepared in accordance with the instructions provided and sent to WFP Procurement by email to lilongwe.procurement@wfp.org. The email subject must be your company's legal name only
11. WFP will not consider incomplete or unsigned submissions. All responses and supporting documentation received will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be made available to the public.
12. This request for EOI does not constitute a solicitation. WFP reserves the right to change or cancel this procurement process or any of its requirements at any time during the process; any such action will be communicated to all participants.
