Subject of Procurement: GOVERNANCE TO ENABLE SERVICE DELIVERY (GESD) 3.1 PROJECT

Date of Issue: THURSDAY, 29TH JANUARY, 2026

1. Zomba District Council has budgeted funds under Governance To Enable Service Delivery (GESD) 3.1 for the implementation of various activities in the District and intends to apply part of the funds for the Procurement of Medical Equipment listed below using National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures from eligible bidders.

2. The Chairperson of the Internal Procurement & Disposal of Assets Committee for Zomba District Council now invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for the following:

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with Open Tendering using Request For Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's Procurement Regulations for IPF BorrowersProcurement in Investment Project Financing, dated November 2020 (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Zomba District Council - Procurement Unit Section or by calling on: 0882477788 or Email: jazminekhoko2019@gmail.com and inspect the bidding Documents at the address given below in clause 7 (a) from 08.00 to 12-00; and 13.30 hours to 16.00 hours local time (Monday to Friday), except on Public Holidays.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained by interested bidders on request to the address below on 7 (b) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK30,000.00. Payment for the documents will be made at the Cash Office, at the address below, at clause 7 (b). The method of payment will be strictly Cash.

6. All bids must be deposited in the Tender Box, at the address below in 7(c) at or before 10:00 hours local time on Tuesday, 17th February, 2026, at 10:00 hours. Late bids shall be Rejected. Bids shall be opened in the presence of bidders' representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at 7(b) at 10.00 hours, local time on Tuesday, 17th February, 2026.
