1. The Lilongwe City Council is mandated to provide environmentally friendly, high-quality, efficient and effective demand-driven municipal services in partnership with the individual and corporate residents to attain better quality lives for all residents in the City. The Council has therefore budgeted public funds to be used for the procurement of a vehicle to enable it render its services to the public satisfactorily, hence invites bids from interested, eligible bidders to submit their bids.

2. Lilongwe City Council now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply and Delivery of a Vehicle as detailed below:

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures and in full compliance with the provisions of Malawi's Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 7 of 2025 and its Subsidiary Legislation. Bidding is open to all bidders as defined in the Bidding Document.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Procurement Unit, Lilongwe City Council, Civic Offices, off Robert Mugabe Crescent, City Centre and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below (7a) from 7:30 hours to 12:00 hours and from 14:00 hours to 16:30 hours during working days.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders from the address below (7 a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K20,000.00 to the cashier at FDH Bank Service Centre located at Civic Offices. The method of payment will be cash or bank certified cheques only.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below (7 b) at or before 23rd February, 2026, at 10:00 hours. All bids must have a Bid Securing Declaration Form signed by an authorised person. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or representatives who choose to attend at the address below (7 c) at 10:00 hours on 23rd February, 2026.
