Invite Bids for Food Commodity Transportation Services

CARE Malawi, through the Tiwoloka project funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition (FFECN) Program, hereby invites bids from eligible and qualified transport service providers for the transportation of food commodities (Com Soya Biend Plus, Refined Vegetable Oil and Lentils) from its warehouses located in Lilongwe and Blantyre to designated distribution points at schools across six (Kasungu, Lilongwe, Ntcheu, Chiradzulu, Thyolo and Mulanje - details available in bids documents) TIWOLOKA districts in Malawi.

The program is implemented in partnership with the Goverment of Malawi, FAWEMA, and WaterAid, with the goal of improving literacy, nutrition, and health outcomes in preschool and primary schools across Malawi.

The transport service contract duration will be 11 months with a renewable provision. In their proposals, bidders must refer/share their valid business registration and transport business license, proven experience in handling humanitarian food logistics in Malawi, fleet capacity suitable for rural terrain, compliance with safety and accountability standards, financial proposal inclusive of fuel, labor, and insurance. Deadline for submission and Contact: Applicants will submit technical and financial proposals to CARE through mwi.ipo@care.org by 16 February 2026 and may submit hard copies to CARE Malawi, City Centre, Pamodzi House, 3rd Floor-Wing B, Private Bag A-89, Lilongwe, Malawi.
