The Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) has allocated funds for consultancy services and intends to apply part of these funds towards the cost of conducting an independent audit of the Student Academic Record Information System (SARIS).

KUHES now invites suitably qualified bidders (Firms) to submit sealed expressions of interest for the Audit of the Student Academic Record Information System (SARIS).

The consultancy will involve a comprehensive assessment of SARIS to determine its functionality, reliability, integration capacity, and data accuracy. usability, and compliance with KUHeS academic policies and data security standards. The assignment will be undertaken at KUHeS campuses and departments, over an estimated period of nine weeks, covering planning. data collection, analysis, reporting, and follow-up. The consultant is expected to deploy professionals experienced in information systems auditing, ICT infrastructure assessment, data security, academic system processes, and user-experience evaluation.

Interested bidders must demonstrate relevant expertise and experience in:

• Auditing academic information systems or similar enterprise systems.
• Assessing integration with financial, library, or curriculum management systems.
• Evaluating data security, user permissions, and compliance with standards such as ISO/IEC 27001.
• Reviewing system usability, user adoption, and support structures.
• Providing clear, actionable recommendations for system improvement and operational efficiency.

Expressions of interest shall be evaluated in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act of 2025.

Participation is open to all eligible bidders.

Interested eligible bidders may submit their expressions of interest to KUHeS, including:

• A company profile detailing relevant experience.
• Description of similar assignments undertaken in the last five years.
• CVs of key experts proposed for the assignment.
• Evidence of technical and managerial capability.
• Valid registration and tax compliance documents.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to: The Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Assets Disposal Committee, Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Histopathology Building, Private Bag 360, Blantyre, Malawi.

The Bids shall be deposited in the Tender Box on the second floor at Histopathology Building of the Kamuzu University of Health Science, Private Bag 360, Blantyre, Malawi, not later than 10:30 Hours on 02/03/2026.

Bids shall be opened on the same date, 02/03/2026, at 10:30 Hours in the Conference Room of the KUHeS Histopathology Building Room in Blantyre. Bidders or their representatives are free to attend the function.
