PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NO.: EGC935/NCB/NCS/FY2025-26

1. EGENCO carries on the business of generating power in the Republic of Malawi and has budgeted funds to be used for acquiring the services for Provision of Legal Services.

2. The Chairman, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee, now invites sealed bids from interested firms for the Prequalification of Legal Services providers as indicated in the Bidding Document.

3. The main purpose of the RFB is to Prequalify prospective Legal Services providers to represent the Company on Framework Agreement.

4. The proposals shall be evaluated in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act of 2024.

5. Participation is open to all eligible and qualified legal Firms.

6. Interested prospective bidders may obtain further information and Bidding Documents during working hours from 23th March 2026.

7. The Bid document in English shall be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00. The method of payment will be in form of Electronic Funds Transfer, here below are the banking details:

8. The Standard Bidding Documents may be sent to the prospective service provider by e-mail upon production of proof of payment on request from the Procurement and Disposal Department, Chayamba Building, No. 7 Victoria Avenue, Floor No.4, P. 9. Electronic submission will not be permitted, and late bids will be rejected. 10. The bid must be submitted and registered at the address as in T1(c) below at or before 14.00 hours Local Time on 09th April 2026.

11. The bids shall be opened immediately after the closing time in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend the bid opening at the address as in 12(d) below.
