Bet CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi is a not-for-profit private hospital specialized in orthopaedic services, situated in the southern region of Malawi. The Hospital is part of a network of hospitals under the umbrella of Cure International Hospital. It opened its doors in 2002, targeting children under the age of 18 years who suffer from congenital or acquired disabilities that are treatable through surgical and rehabilitative interventions. These services are offered at no cost to the children's families.

The objective of this audit will be as follows
1. To express an opinion on the financial statements as per statutory requirements; the report of which shall be served to the management of Beit CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi
2. Management letter containing comments and recommendations with respect to accounting and administrative controls and efficiency.
3. Availability throughout the year to provide advice and guidance on financial accounting and reporting
The organization's financial year runs from 1st July to 30th June, and the successful firm will audit the FY 2026 books of account which are due in September
The audit firm shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees for a period of one year. renewable subject to a formal performance review. Consistent with internationally recognized governance standards, the cumulative duration of engagement shall not exceed five (5) years
The proposal shall remain valid for a period of 90 days from the submission deadline
The accounting framework to be applied shall be IFRS for Small and Medium-Sized Entities (IFRS for SMEs) and the audit shall be conducted in accordance with the International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
In order to simplify the evaluation process and obtain maximum comparability. Bet CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi requires that all responses to the RFP be organized in the manner and format described below

Describe how and why your firm is different from other firms being considered. This should include an explanation of the firm's philosophy size, structure and qualifications with serving organizations in Malawi Discuss the firm's independence with respect to Beit CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi
✓ Team Qualifications
Identify the specific partners, managers and in-charge staff who will be assigned to this engagement if you are successful in your bid. Provide their bios specifying relevant experience to type of services requested
✓ Audit approach
Describe how your firm will approach the proposed services, and the type of assistance that will be required from Beit CURE staff and elaborate the communication process used by the firm to discuss issues with management and the board
✓ Fees
Include a cost statement showing proposed fees to perform the audit service. This information should include a table identifying each level of staff hours planned for the audit at the proposed rates and an itemized isting of all other expenses or fees proposed. List the assumptions upon which the fee may be based, if any. That is, identify any conditions that would cause the firm to request a change in the proposed fee.

Include a list of the relevant clients the firm has served within the past three years and furnish the names and telephone numbers of any references whom we may contact. Preferably hospitals or NGO'S

While price is an important factor, Beit CURE will evaluate proposals on price and the following criteria:
✓ Prior experience auditing organizations in Malawi
✓ Qualifications of staff to be assigned to the engagement
✓ CPA Firms understanding of work to be performed
✓ References
✓ Completeness and timeliness of the proposal
