1. Background: Medical Council of Malawi (MCM) is a Statutory Corporation established under the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act No. 17 of 1987, Chapter 36:01 of the Laws of Malawi. MCM exists to protect the public and guide the medical, dental and allied health professions. The MCM has the mandate of regulating practitioners, health facilities and training institutions, and managing health care-related complaints.
2. Medical Council of Malawi intends to apply part of its approved budget towards the procurement of External Financial Audit Services for a Three-Year Contractual Period from 2026 to 2028. (Financial years 2025/2026, 2026/2027, and 2027/2028)
3. The bid document of the Request for Proposal can be accessed from the following link, or may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K30,000.00. The method of payment will be in the form of a Bank Deposit to the Medical Council of Malawi account detailed below:-

4. The technical and financial proposals should be sealed in separate envelopes, both clearly marked with the Procurement reference number, above the bidder's name, the name of the Procuring Entity and either Technical Proposal' or 'Financial Proposal" as appropriate. Both envelopes should be enclosed in a single outer envelope, and all enclosures should be sealed in such a manner that opening and resealing cannot be achieved undetected.
Proposals clearly marked 'Provision of Consultancy Services: Medical Council External Audit' must be delivered to the address below by Friday, 06 March 2026, 10:00 am local time. Note that late proposals will be rejected.
